ONTRACK implementation goes live

In February 2009 we went live with the ONTRACK (New Zealand Railways Corporation) VisionCRE implementation, with great success. This project not only represented over a year's hard work by two dedicated teams from Vision and ONTRACK, it was also the first major customisation project managed entirely using the agile methodology Scrum.

The degree of customisation was particularly high, and involved interfaces with SAP and Exponare, a GIS system from MapInfo. Incorporating a high degree of automation in rates and invoice processing, this project stretched our team's ability to map complex business processes to the software and challenged them to find innovative solutions.

A measure of our success was the unsolicited testimonial from Mr. Phil Gavey, the IT Project Manager employed on contract to evaluate, select, negotiate and then manage the contract. Phil stated:

"Thanks for being the most competent vendor I've worked with in 25 years of IT delivery."

Thanks Phil, it was great to work with you too - a true win/win outcome.
